Hatteras

Brave Hatteras

The Hatteras Yachts Company is settled in New Bern, North Carolina. Founded in 1959 by Willis Slane, its first sportfishing yatch, the Knit Wits, is still in service today. She was designed as a fiberglass rugged sportfishing boat, big enough for fishermen and comfortable enough for families. More than 50 years later, the boat manufacturer produces a line of cruising yachts that ranges from 63 to 100 feet in length. Nowadays Hatteras belongs to the Group, the largest maker of pleasure boats in the world.

When one starts to search boats thinking of sportfishing convertibles or motor yachts, Hatteras Brand should be taken in consideration.
Innovative thinking and impeccable quality have kept customers coming back to Hatteras to fulfill their yachting dream.

Hatteras manufacturer engineers have developed numerous effective innovations that have benefited the entire boating industry such as its hull tunnels designed by applying military technology or its pioneer approach of using deep gears, large shafts and big propellers, based on the principle that efficiency is bigger moving a large mass slowly than a small mass. All its boats are built with a solid fiberglass hull bottom.

The yachts manufacturer plans to introduce its new flagship, Its fleet comprises 8 models of sportfishing convertibles (including the 2012 GT Series, with best-in-class performance, fit-and-finish, build strength and pricing) and 4 models of motor yachts (including the new 100 Raised Pilothouse that will be introduced in 2013, featuring a premium A/V system, a superior craftsmanship finish and an electronics allowance that outfit a true captain's pilothouse).
