Viking Yacht Company was founded in 1964 by two brothers, Bob and Bill Healey. They bought a small wooden sportfishing boats and specialized it in building luxury performance sportfishing and cruising yachts. Since then, Viking Yachts remains family owned and operated and has grown to become a world leader in semi-custom fiberglass yacht production.
Viking's headquarters are located on New Gretna, New Jersey. There is also a Viking Yacht services complex in Riviera Beach, Florida, where Viking-trained professionals handle warranty, fiberglass and running gear repairs.
Viking manufacturer is concern about safety and durability. Within its first major innovations are the reverse-shoebox hull/deck design, which made the hull safer while increasing its overall strength, and the "Viking Strata-Mount", an advanced engine mounting system on large models which allows the stresses of the engines to be spread out over the hull, increasing strength, durability and performance. By manufacturing most of components in house, Viking has high quality control.
With six production lines, Viking built yachts from 42 to 82 Feet.
