Cruiser

This type of boat is one of the most powerful ships in the world. Actually, it is the second warship in size, just below the aircraft carriers, with 10,000 tons or more displacement. We find the word "Cruiser" at the beginning of 1870, it was a term used by personal of United State Army to refer ships with little armor but speeds and well-armed; these ships were responsible to stop the enemy merchant traffic, in time of war, and protect sea routes overseas colonial own if necessary. This boat is a great power boat with a complex system of weapons and defenses.

Nowadays, there are different types of cruisers like protected cruisers, armored cruisers, heavy cruisers, light cruisers, battle cruisers inter alia. The protected cruiser uses a shield cover which is curved slightly at the sides to protect the sides of the ship, the armor cruisers have advances weapons of combat, the heavy cruisers is a better version of previous two, the light cruisers are very light and fast and the battle cruisers that are the most complete cruisers for a war.

The term "Cruiser" has another meaning, the term can refe to a pleasure trip on a luxury boat; it is a type of travel by sea belonging to Tourism sector; Cruises are trips on cruise ships to anywhere in the world as leisure travel, tourism being a form of unique, different and special to know countries that are unexplored by other means of transport. In this sense these kinds of ships serve to other sectors as Tourism.
